Lynx Spring Giveaway: Details, Rules, & Regulations
Contest Details
Overview
From Tuesday, May 12, 2020 to Friday, May 15, 2020, Lynx will be running a Spring Giveaway on our Facebook page for the chance to win a camera upgrade or plug-in. For the fourth contest, we’re looking for your best camera installation photo. Lynx timers sometimes have to get creative when setting up at some finish lines. Whether you have to set up on a boat in the water, create a waterproof shell in a pinch, or maybe you had 12 cameras set up at once. We want to see it! Submissions will be accepted on our Facebook page.
On Friday evening, May 1, we will put all submissions into a Facebook album. The winner of the giveaway will be determined by the picture that receives the most ‘Likes’ by Sunday evening (5/3/2020). A winner will be announced Monday (5/4/2020) morning after we have notified the winner.
Tuesday (5/12/2020) – Friday (5/15/2020): Submit your best or craziest Lynx installation photo
Friday (5/15/2020) – Sunday (5/17/2020): Head to the Lynx Facebook page to cast your vote
Monday (5/18/2020): Winner will be announced and may claim their prize of one camera plug-in or upgrade
Wednesday (5/20/2020): Deadline for the winner to claim their prize
How to Enter
Post a photo to our Facebook page or send it to us via Twitter or Instagram showing us your best or craziest Lynx installation for a race. Entrants may submit more than one photo to enter. All submissions must be received by Friday, May 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST.
Note: Submissions must feature a Lynx product in some way and may not be inappropriate. Submissions deemed inappropriate by the judges will be removed and not counted towards the final vote.
Determining the Winner
The winner of the Lynx Spring Giveaway will be determined by the photo that receives the most ‘Likes’ by 8:00 PM EST Sunday, May 17, 2020. Once the winner has been decided, Lynx will notify the winner directly Monday (5/18/2020) morning, then announce the winner on our Facebook page. The winner must claim their prize by Wednesday (5/20/2020), otherwise a new winner will be selected.
Note: Lynx employees are welcome to submit photos for the contest, but are not eligible to win a prize.

Official Rules & Regulations
Offer Terms & Eligibility Requirements
All entrants must be 18 years or older. No purchase is necessary to enter or win the Spring Giveaway. A person may enter from any country, but the entrant must own a FinishLynx system or product to enter. The Lynx product or system must be featured in the submission. The submission may be in the form of a photo. All entries must be deemed appropriate by contest judges. Participation in the contest constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to Lynx System Developers and not to Facebook. By participating in this promotion, you agree to a complete release of Facebook from any claims.
Contest Period
The contest officially begins on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM EST and entries must be submitted by Friday, May 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST. Voting will open Friday, May 15, 2020 by 6:00 PM and will run through Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 8:00 PM EST. A winner will be announced Monday, May 18, 2020 after the winner has been notified.
Past Contest
From Tuesday, April 28, 2020 to Friday, May 1, 2020, Lynx will be running a Spring Giveaway on our Facebook page for the chance to win a camera upgrade or plug-in. This time around, we want to see your best Auto Capture photos. If you don’t currently use Automatic Capture, then let’s see the strangest capture you’ve gotten. Submissions will be accepted on our Facebook page.
On Friday evening, May 1, we will put all submissions into a Facebook album. The winner of the giveaway will be determined by the picture that receives the most ‘Likes’ by Sunday evening (5/3/2020). A winner will be announced Monday (5/4/2020) morning after we have notified the winner.

We want our FinishLynx community to dig through their archives to show us the image they’re most proud of from their timing career and tell us why. Submissions will be accepted on our Facebook page.
On Friday evening, April 17, we will put all submissions into a Facebook album. The winner of the giveaway will be determined by the picture that receives the most ‘Likes’ by Sunday evening (4/19/2020). A winner will be announced Monday (4/20/2020) morning after we have notified the winner.
Monday (4/13/2020) – Friday (4/17/2020): Submit the photo you’re most proud of from your timing career
Friday (4/17/2020) – Sunday (4/19/2020): Head to the Lynx Facebook page to cast your vote

How to Enter
Post a photo to our Facebook page or send it to us via Twitter or Instagram showing us the photo you’re most proud of from your timing career and tell us why. This photo can be from a particularly difficult location setup, a close photo-finish, an unusual race, etc. Entrants are allowed to submit more than one photo to enter. All submissions must be received by Friday, April 17, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST.
To be clear, we’re not looking for a ‘technically perfect’ image, just an image that you are most proud of. Some examples of what could make for your proudest moment could include:
- The temperature was below 0 degrees or extremely hot
- The camera was mounted in a tree, or other unusual location
- The camera was mounted on a moving object, such as a raft
- There was a downpour or a blizzard
- You got the camera in place seconds before the gun
- Etc

From Friday, March 27, 2020 to Friday, April 3, 2020, Lynx will be running a Spring Giveaway on our Facebook page for the chance to win a camera upgrade or plug-in. We want our FinishLynx community to show us their most creative use for a Lynx system during this time of quarantine. Submissions will be accepted on our Facebook page in the form of photo or video.
On Friday evening, April 3, we will put all submissions into a Facebook album. The winner of the giveaway will be determined by the picture or video that receives the most ‘Likes’ by Sunday evening (4/5/2020). A winner will be announced Monday (4/6/2020) morning at 10:00 AM EST.
Friday (3/27/2020) – Friday (4/3/2020): Submit your photo or video of a creative use for Lynx
Friday (4/3/2020) – Sunday (4/5/2020): Head to the Lynx Facebook page to cast your vote on the most creative use

Post a photo or video to our Facebook page showing your creative way to use Lynx during this time of quarantines and shutdowns. Entrants are allowed to submit more than one photo/video to enter. All submissions must be received by Friday, April 3, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST.

Determining the Winner
